The rise to fame of a certain Adele Laurie Blue Adkins – Rolling Stone

Her name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins and she was born on May 5, 1988; she ‘woke up’ overnight a singer after a friend of hers uploaded a track onto MySpace in 2006, an example of several demo songs from Adele’s impressive voice.

Within two years she had won two awards: one in 2007 at the Brit Awards and BBC Sound of 2008. Her debut album was released in 2008 and went four times platinum, and the second album was released in 2011 and received in the UK and USA. Adele is the first artist who has sold more than 3 million albums in the UK.

Adele in Rolling Stone Magazine iPad Edition

The singer was born in Tottenham and began singing at the age of 4. She said the Spice Girls band made a mark on her life and she turned it into music. The time when Adele made her move and truly believed in becoming a star was when she saw Pink playing at Brixton Academy. Two months after graduating from high school, Adele released two songs; and three other songs were recorded for a project and she gave them to a friend who took courage and posted them on MySpace. That was the moment when Virgin Records asked about her. Adele canceled some tournaments to be with her ex-boyfriend. “I got so drunk by the time I went on at 2 a.m. I had forgotten the words to my own songs … It was the worst thing ever”. Madness and frustration of this relationship made her to release the album “21″ and Rolling in the Deep lyrics are more than suggestive.

In June, Adele announced her pregnancy on her official site. Adele’s next album will be different from the previous album. Adele will not sing about failed romantic relationships, but about pregnancy.

READ ABOUT THE NEW BOND FILM

The film was a huge success and with each new sequel the public became more and more dependent on 007. In total, the 22 films to date have grossed over $ 5 billion. Played by six actors over time, Bond has fought 198 villains. Bond Fact! The adoration of fans kept him alive, who probably helped Bond escape an assassination attempt nearly 5,000 times. Maybe in another 50 years, His Majesty’s favourite spy will reach centenary celebrations. The Bond ‘character’ has always had a penchant for sports cars, beautiful women, high-tech gadgets and vodka-martini, which he prefers, of course – ‘Shaken, not stirred’.

On October 23 in London, will be released the 23th film in the series, entitled ‘Skyfall’ which interprets Daniel Craig for the third time as agent James Bond. Characterised by an even more muscular James Bond, Daniel Craig’s impressive contrast with the character played by Roger Moore (more ‘playful’) and previously played by Sean Connery (more ‘macho’). Starting with ‘Dr. No’ and to ‘Quantum of Solace’ James Bond had around him a number of powerful and extremely attractive women. All six actors who have played Bond had the most beautiful women in the respective periods such as Kim Basinger, Jane Seymour, Ursula Andress, Blackman Honer, Denise Richards, Sophie Marceau, Teri Hatcher, Shirly Eaton, Halle Berry, Eva Green are just some of the women who were with Bond over recent time..

Between the passion and danger, between the irresistible action and almost the impossible mission, James Bond (Daniel Craig) returns in a new production under the code name Skyfall, alongside the new Bond Girl Severine (Berenice Marlohe) who is not only a beautiful woman, but has the courage of one who will not hesitate at any time to join James Bond’s mission against Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem).

We’re looking forward to it, in fact we’re counting down the days!

What is an Ultrabook? PCWorld Digital Magazine Explains

This week in PC World Magazine we are looking at the amazing ‘ultrabook revolution’ – laptops are undergoing a massive and radical change, with the latest releases of ultrabooks pushing the boundaries of technological efficiency and design.

What is an Ultrabook? PCWorld iPad Magazine Explains

Major IT manufacturers have finally decided to complete their market offering with Ultrabooks. Apple did this a long time ago at almost 4 years ago with the truly amazing result of the MacBook Air.

What is the difference between an Ultrabook and a Laptop or a Netbook? An Ultrabook is a 2, 3 or 4 times thinner than a laptop, often using a new processor from Intel such as the Intel Ultrabook (TM), which is up to 10 times faster than an Intel Pentium for example and is built especially for Ultrabook’s and has a more attractive design.

An Ultrabook is basically a thinner and more powerful laptop. Using faster and smaller processors but also built to consume less power. Batteries can last between 8-10 hours, with almost instant restarts on power up.

At first glance, Acer, Asus, Lenovo and Toshiba are very similar. With a closer look you can see different materials used as well as differing setups or power and processing. Technical configuration is now more important than ever to the consumer. All the top four manufacturers have used the aluminum casing as styled originally by Apple. Acer and Toshiba choose to use more accessible materials for keyboard and innards – this way offering much lower prices. Lenovo remains focused on the standard business design, wheras Asus have gone with an effective polished aluminum interior style modern design.

To beat the classic laptop, the ultrabook relies not only on the image, but also on performance. But is that enough? It took four years to Apple to get to the Macbook Air. It is clear now that the Ultrabooks has started a revolution in a tech world dominated by notebooks until recently, but this slim and agile platform promises more. Read more about it in this issue of PCWorld, which is now available as an iPad magazine and a digital magazine subscription.

Take a walk in the beautiful Denari Park, in Alaska Magazine this Month

This month in Alaska magazine takes a look at the incredible wilderness of the Denali National Park, and admires the beauty of Alaska in Autumn.

Explore Alaska this month and visit Denari Park - Alaska iPad Magazine Subscription

Although there are not established borders to divide Alaska, it is accepted that Alaska contains six delimited regions; the south-central, south-eastern interior, south-west, north and Aleutiene Islands. The most significant region is represented by the inner region which is almost uninhabited apart from ‘Fairbanks’ which is one of the only human settlements of significant size.

In Native Athabaskan language, Denali means “the high”, making reference to the a large mountain in this area. The Denali National Park size is 24.500 km², and the habitat consists of mixed forests and taiga at the lower altitudes, tundra and glaciers at the average heights and snow and rocks in the upper parts at the high altitudes.

In this part of Alaska, [Denali] there is a variety of birds and mammals including quite large populations of grizzly and black bears as well as large populations of deer roaming the entire park. Despite human intervention in the area, populations of gray wolves were able to become established here in Denali.

The Denali National Park is also a vast conservation area with the rank of a ‘Biosphere Reserve’ and also where you can find the highest mountain in North America, McKinley, an abrupt colossus, whose peaks covered by snow and ice rises up to 6200m. This majestic mountain crowns the 1,000 km of mountain chain that crosses Alaska and acts as a real barrier, right in the way of the humid air masses coming from the Pacific Ocean. A wonderful place to explore, I hope this gives you a taste of what you could find.

Red & Berry – Elle talks about the fashion colours of Autumn 2012

This month in Elle Magazine Canada we’re taking a good look into the colours of Autumn 2012 fashion. If the summer fashion prevails colours such as raspberry pink or neon shades, the autumn-winter season softens the explosion of colours by bringing in the foreground a surprising combination of bright colors such as cobalt blue and burgundy red. Red, in many shades – from purple to red hot and red plum – has become the new essential colour of autumn. An elegant colour palette which fits compatibly with many outfits, you will find it not only in the accessories (bags, scarves, shoes, tights), but also colouring the entire seasonal clothing range of dresses, knitwear, coats, blouses and trousers.

Red haute - Colours of Autumn 2012

A red dress will always be in the spotlight, you’ll feel bright and confident as red is one of the most emotionally rich colours & stimulates the heartbeat. Red is the color of love and can be used also as an accent for inside home decoration. Trousers and a bright red jacket looks great and is a perfect alternative to black or dark colours.

The designers this year have been inspired by the saturated colors of fruits and vegetables: tomatoes, watermelon and strawberries and the rich colour of berries have all been translated into collections of clothes for 2012. Th If you decided to renew your wardrobe with clothes in shades of red, think about the accessories as you can complement quite easily.

A look inside the luxury private jets of the super rich – Unreal!

Luxury private aircrafts always make a sensation wherever they appear. Business people who own a private jet often spend over $ 1.5 million just for the interior decoration in their aircraft, which often are padded in cashmere with plated gold accessories and with high quality leather trim. These interior decors are often more expensive than the aircraft itself. Crazy.

High Style in High Places in Robb Report Digital Magazine this month

Recently Boeing announced that the first aircraft 747-8 was delivered to a private buyer, the 747-8 is the larger version of the classic aircraft which can accommodate 467 passengers on two floors. The customer will be able to equip the aircraft with everything they want, the only limit is their imagination to fill the 444 square meters available.

Let’s see few examples:
1. Nicolas Sarkozy equipped his presidential plane with a small cinema, and a few ‘ovens’ at a cost of 75,000 euros each.
2. Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian president, equipped his aircraft Ilyushin II-96PU with baths containing gold bidets and sinks.
3. The magnate Donald Trump has a Boeing 757 aircraft that includes a shower and numerous gold plated items.
4. Actor John Travolta has a private plane Boeing 707 that contains a sitting room with sofas, wood paneling and tables for dinner.
5. Saudi Prince: But the most ambitious project of all belongs to Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, which has not yet been delivered. He has requested an Airbus A380 superjumbo. It would contain a garage for his cars, stairs like in the biggest movies, a concert hall and five large bedrooms. Unreal.
